Their rivalry in the cage ended years ago, and Khabib Nurmagomedov has long since retired, but erstwhile UFC star Conor McGregor, who hasn’t seen action since 2021, continues to attack his old foe.
On Friday, McGregor launched a profane rant, laden with racially coloured language, against Nurmagomedov on social media site Twitter/X.
“15 minutes, I done Aldo in 15 seconds. Show yo wife n*gga. Sho yo kids n*gga. Cousin f*ckin motherf*ckin hidin motherf*cker,” opened McGregor, whose trash talk is clearly not what it used to be. “Show us you and your cousins (sic) kids together because we have kids here in Ireland who wanna smoke them in competition,” he continued.
The former featherweight and lightweight champion also questioned who designated Khabib Nurmagomedov as the face of MMA in Dagestan, albeit in more colourful words. “Certainly not his own father, Abdulmanap.”
It goes on. And on. After dragging family into his tirade, McGregor went on to claim that Nurmagomedov’s native Dagestan “think you are p*ssy lips for retiring. Real Dagestan is forever. You are laughed at behind your back in Dagestan.”
Bizarrely, McGregor had just made a post stating that he was praying for Bryce Mitchell, who recently made pro-Hitler comments on the inaugural episode of his podcast. He then spoke out against the rise in racist, divisive behaviour online.
“Let this be an acknowledgment/confirmation of the rise in antisemitic commentary, as well as all sorts of other bullsh*t, phobic, racist commentary that spreads feverishly and instantly across the world wide web where we are, as curious beings, are brainwashed into all sorts of thinking. For what? For one reason and one reason only. Human division.”
Dana White was none-too-happy about Mitchell’s comments, though he came short of punishing him. His response to Conor McGregor remains to be seen.
