Vinicius Oliveira: Said “Is just a human being”, Doesn’t Fear Him

UFC bantamweight Vinicius Oliveira has plenty of respect for Said Nurmagomedov and Dagestani fighters as he gets set to face him at UFC Riyadh on Saturday.

That being said he doesn’t fear him.

“I have no pressure. (These) kind of guys for me…my opinion is the same with every (fighter) around the world,” Oliveira told reporters in Wednesday.

“These guys are really dangerous because Dagestan come from a different kind of school. They have good wrestling, good pressure, they are stronger, but in my opinion he is just a human being. I defeat these guys like anyone (else).”

Oliveira (21-3) will look to make it three consecutive victories when he faces Nurmagomedov in Saudi Arabia. Oliveira faces a tough opponent from a famous camp that comes from MMA royalty, but it won’t face the Brazilian on Saturday.

“Nurmagomedov is a name that scare some fighters around the world, but me nothing. (I don’t) fear nobody,” he said.

Just like every fighter in the bantamweight division Oliveira watched closely as Umar Nurmagomedov challenged Merab Dvalishvili for the title at UFC 311. Oliveira didn’t seem surprised at the result.

Oh and he’s like a shot at the challenger himself.

“That fight between Umar and Merab was really tough. I think I knew the result (of) this fight because they have a similar style,” he said.

“Merab has more experience. More tough than Umar and I hope fight with Umar (is my next) fight.”
