Las Vegas – UFC middleweight Chris Curtis had a sort of falling out with one of his closest teammates, but he’s got to put that behind him now as he gets set to face Roman Kopylov at UFC Vegas 101 on Saturday night.

Turns out Sean Strickland did more than just piss off one of his closest friends.
“Understand that I’ve known Sean Strickland longer than most people,” Curtis told reporters including Cageside Press on Wednesday.
“I’ve known Sean, I’m going on like 10 years now, so it’s always funny when like people were like ‘oh forget like get over it’. You guys know the caricature of Sean. I’ve been in this for like 10 years. There are times to where I’m debating hitting him with a brick.”
Strickland isn’t for everybody as we’ve seen in the past few years. Definitely one to word his opinions regardless of who’s listening, but it may have pushed Curtis a bit far. To the point where both men were ready to actually fight in the gym, and Curtis thought about doing some real damage. Or at least he said he would.
“We were really about to throw down and the entire gym is like are you guys really doing this? I’m like threatening to cripple him before he fights Dricus (du Plessis). Like I will f*cking cripple you,” he said.
“We get out of hand, but I’ve known Sean for a long time. We do have our own issues, and like know there’s sh*t we will still need to discuss and talk about and kind of put everything up front.”
Not to worry though. Your favorite fighting duo knows what’s important.
“I need to focus on this (fight). He’s going out there to fight for a UFC title and get his belt back. We don’t have time to focus on like sh*t that’s not conducive to the goal,” said Curtis.
“We’ll be fine for now. We’ll address it in the future. At the end of the day I’ll always be pulling for him. I want him to f*cking succeed. I want him to succeed in the cage. I want him to succeed in life.”
