Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has his return date set.

Cruz (24-4) will face Rob Font (21-8) in the co-main event of UFC Seattle on February 22, 2025 at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA.

News of the booking was first reported by UFC broadcast partner ESPN, citing UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell.

A frequent part of UFC broadcasts as an analyst/color commentator, Cruz has not stepped into the cage in roughly two years. The last time “The Dominator” was in action, he was head kicked into unconsciousness by Marlon “Chito” Vera. That setback snapped a two-fight winning streak.

Cruz held first WEC and later UFC gold at 135lbs, vacating his first UFC title due to injury in 2014, then winning it back in 2016. Injury wreaked havoc on his career, however, with multiple ACL issues, a groin tear, and tendonitis all keeping him from competition.

At 37, Rob Font is a couple of years younger than Cruz, and coming off a win over Kyler Phillips. Prior to that, he dropped back-to-back fights against Deiveson Figueiredo and Cory Sandhagen.

With Henry Cejudo vs. Song Yadong headlining, the UFC Seattle card on February 22, 2025 now breaks down as follows:
