Oktagon MMA has announced it’s latest €1 million Tipsport Gamechanger tournament, with the middleweight division set to compete for the impressive prize money this time out.
Promotion officials announced the opening round match-ups for the tournament on Saturday via press release. This year’s Gamechanger tournament kicks off in February, and familiar names like Ion Surdu, Andreas Michailidis, Krzysztof Jotko and David Zawada, among others.
UFC veteran Jotko (25-6, 1NC) will be making his promotional debut for Oktagon MMA when he takes on Ion Surdu (16-6) at a date yet to be confirmed. The Polish standout spent nearly 10 years competing inside the UFC octagon, earning wins over the likes of Gerald Meerschaert, Eryk Anders, and Marc-Andre Barriault.
Andreas Michailidis, who has also competed for Bellator, went 1-3 from 2020 to 2022 with the UFC. He did not have an easy run with the company, paired up with future two-division champ Alex Pereira and surging Russian star Rinat Fakhretdinov.
