Jon Jones may not be done fighting just yet, but the end is more certainly coming for the UFC’s heavyweight champion. Though “soon” may not be the right word when it comes to “Bones” wrapping up his career.

With fights against Alex Pereira and Tom Aspinall getting all the attention, many were hoping to see Jones back in action sometime in 2025. Dana White went so far as to say it would be “100%” that his star would fight Aspinall at some point.

Maybe that will happen, maybe not, but it appears that Jones’ timeframe doesn’t have him in a rush.

“Within the next five years I want to win one more fight,” Jones told Alex Gonzalez on the latter’s Youtube channel recently. “Maybe even two more fights, and try and make as much money as possible in the UFC. I want to launch off my acting career. I’ve always wanted to be an actor. I think I do pretty good on camera, and I’ve done little commercials and things like that.”

Beyond a fight or two and acting, which Jones seems to have taken a liking to, he also wants to focus on being a dad.

“Every time I’m on set, everybody’s like, ‘Bro, it’s hard to believe that you’re a fighter. You conduct yourself just like all of our professional actors,’” he added. “So that’s my five-year plan. Ten years from now I just want to be the best dad I can be.”

Jon Jones was last in action at UFC 309 in November, where he put away heavyweight great Stipe Miocic. He’s set to appear in Edo’s Crossing, where the UFC champ plays a Navy SEAL.
