Legacy Fighting Alliance returned to action Friday night, with a light heavyweight showdown headlining LFA 198 in Commerce, CA.
Richie “El Machete” Miranda was booked opposite Hugo Oyarzún in that main event fight. Miranda came in on a three-fight win streak, with all three wins coming under the LFA banner. Chile’s Oyarzun was making his promotional debut, meanwhile, off a split decision loss this past April under Mexico’s UWC.
In the co-headliner, Bia Mesquita looked to improve to 2-0 in MMA. With 24 titles at blackbelt spread across four major tournaments, Mesquita was the latest, and perhaps one of the most decorates, jiu-jitsu practitioners to make the jump the mixed martial arts. She faces Fernanda Araujo at bantamweight.
