Las Vegas – Fighters like UFC featherweight Nate Landwehr loves to have a firefight and he’ll look to do just that against DooHo Choi at UFC 310 on Saturday night.
When the fans saw the matchup it quickly became one where fireworks are expected.
“Oh yeah man, sh*t I expect it too,” Landwehr told reporters including Cageside Press on Wednesday.
“When I get the call I’m like yeah sign this dotted line and Nate The Train’s coming.”
Landwehr (18-5) had said recently that he felt Choi fought a bit tentatively lately which is something he hopes to remedy on Saturday.
“I feel like there’s not going to be no choice really. We’re going to go in there, we’re going to battle, and I’m going to put the gas on the full throttle. He either gots to come with me or get left behind,” he said.
“Expectations is bad for the mind. I’m just going to go in there, do my thing. After we’re done with this all we’re going to have is moments and video. So I’d hope it’s watchable worthy.”
Even then expectations are high for this one turning into a bloody war
“I just try not to put that on myself. There’s enough on me. It’s fighting. We’re going to go out there and let it go,” he said.
“I hope some worth watching down the line comes up of it.”
