The PFL has been under fire of late, criticized for everything from event pacing to a lack of activity for Bellator fighters, the former number two MMA promotion globally, who the league purchased last year.
On Friday, the promotion will be in Saudi Arabia for its PFL Championship 2024, with six title fights and a chance to silence the critics, at least for one night.
Some of the promotion’s biggest stars, including Brendan Loughnane, Impa Kasanganay, and Dakota Ditcheva will be in action, looking to claim gold. The event will be part of a double-header, with the final PFL MENA card set for the very same day.
Jesus Pinedo, who was expected to face Jeremy Kennedy at the event, weighed in six pounds heavy and has been pulled from the card. He’s now expected to face Gabriel Braga, per a report by MMA Fighting.
