The Road to UFC 3 flyweight final found Kiru Sahota and Donghun Choi facing off at UFC Macau on Saturday.
The preliminary card bout had a UFC contract in the offing for the winner, and found the crowd restless with the lack of action early, after a scary, exhilarating head kick in the women’s strawweight final just one fight earlier.
Sahota held center as the action kicked off, with South Korea’s Choi on the outside. They would clinch up just under two minutes in; after separating, it was Choi landing a solid overhand that gained the crowd’s appreciation. Mere seconds later, those same fans would explode, as Donghun Choi did as well, firing a combo capped off by a looping right hook- a bit of an overhand that dropped Sahota like a sack of potatoes.
A rather unique victory dance saw Choi swiveling his hips and pulling off a cartwheel before the result was announced.
That 9-0 feeling 🤗

“I’ve won the tournament, and I just can’t help but to wonder, am I dreaming?” Choi questioned following the win, admitting that he couldn’t put the feeling into words.
A former Navy officer, Choi has earned himself a UFC deal, and with his performance at UFC Macau, his official debut will no doubt be one to watch.
Official Result: Donghun Choi def. Kiru Sahota by knockout (punch), Round 1, 2:36
