While the UFC had a massive card in New York City on Saturday, on Sunday (or late Saturday depending on your locale), Japan’s RIZIN Fighting Federation was in action with RIZIN Landmark 10.
Former featherweight champ Vugar Karamov headlined the show, taking on Japan’s own Kazumasa Majima in a three-round affair. Karamov, who had lost his title to Chihiro Suzuki last time out, was looking to return to the win column and potentially start the journey back to a shot at gold.
Also featured at RIZIN Landmark 10, Ayaka Hamasaki, a former Invicta FC strawweight champ, was paired up with South Korea’s Yu Ri Shim. And Canadian flyweight prospect Tony Larmie, brother of former UFC featherweight T.J. Laramie, was set to make his promotional debut.
