Former UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso posted to her Instagram a photo of herself in a boot with a crutch announcing she has broken her leg in training.

“I broke my foot in training, but I’m good. Healthy. Send me a lot of love so the bone sticks correctly, please.”
Grasso (16-4-1) is coming off dropping her title at UFC 306, also known as Noche UFC, in September. Former champion Valentina Shevchenko defeated her by unanimous decision at The Sphere in Las Vegas. The event remains one of the more iconic PPVs in UFC history.
Her first loss in 5 years she had not come out on the losing end since 2021 when she lost a majority decision against the now-retired Carla Esparza. Following that loss she rattled off 5 in a row including wins over Ji Yeon Kim, Maycee Barber, Joanne Wood, Viviane Araujo, and Shevchenko who she took the belt off of at UFC 285.
As bad as being injured if for Grasso it could put her on a path to Noche UFC in 2025. UFC CEO Dana White has said he’s looking at going to Grasso’s hometown, Guadalajara, Mexico, for the next edition of the UFC staple event.
Even with Noche UFC a real possibility for Alexa Grasso, no timetable for her return has been released as of this post.
