Two UFC bantamweights looking to make a run to a title are set for a UFC event on Feb 22 as Ketlen Vieira will take on Macy Chiasson.
AgFight was the first to report the booking.
Vieira (14-4) comes off a tough loss against Kayla Harrison at UFC 307. She holds victories over Pannie Kianzad, Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, Cat Zingano and Sarah McMann among others.
Chiasson (10-3) comes into this one having won two consecutive fights over Kianzad and Mayra Bueno Silva respectively. She holds victories over Marion Reneau, Norma Dumont, and Larissa Pacheco to name a few.
The pair were supposed to fight at the APEX back in January, but Vieira withdrew with an undisclosed injury. That set Chiasson back to March where she beat Kianzad via first round submission, and then June where she cut Silva forcing the doctor to stop the fight.
The two are currently ranked in the top 5 making this a possible title eliminator giving current bantamweight champion Julianna Peña two contenders to keep an eye on. Vieira comes in at #3 and Chiasson at #4 with a loss potentially sending the loser out of the top 5.
No official word on where the event will take place as of this posting.
