Tatiana Suarez claims she’s not injured — but her fight with Virna Jandiroba at UFC 310 appears to be off nonetheless.

Hours after reports of Suarez being injured and out of the fight broke, the women’s strawweight contender took to social media to dispute those claims.

MMA Melotto was first to report news that Suarez was out of the fight, stating specifically (in Portuguese) that the fighter was injured. When Women’s MMA Rankings reposted the news in English, Suarez was quick to respond.

“I did not get injured. I’m curious where you heard this. Why would you put this out there?” Suarez stated — but later deleted the post.

Sources have confirmed to Cageside Press that the fight does appear to be off. A report by MMA Fighting‘s Damon Martin also suggests that the fight is off due to “a health issue that will prevent her [Suarez] from competing in December.”

A health issue does not necessarily mean injury, and could refer to illness, pregnancy, or any number of possible scenarios. In the meantime, Jandiroba now awaits either a new opponent, or if the issue is relatively minor, a new date.

Tatiana Suarez has struggled to fight consistently throughout her career, suffering a number of injuries and ailments. She remains a perfect 10-0, however, and fought twice in 2023, defeating both Montana De La Rosa and former strawweight champ Jessica Andrade.

She has not fought in 2024, but did get engaged to Bellator star Patchy Mix in May.

UFC 310 takes place on December 7, 2024 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is set to be headlined by Belal Muhammad vs. Shavkat Rakhmonov for the UFC welterweight championship.
