Week 6
- Featherweight, Kacper Formela (18-4) Vs. Milad Ahady (8-1)
- Light-heavyweight, Emilio Quissua (5-0) Vs. Cedric Lushima (5-0)
- Lightweight, Samuel Dias (10-2) Vs. Daniel James Allen (5-0)
- Flyweight, Mark Climaco (11-2) Vs. Terrance Saeteurn (7-1)
- Bantamweight, Mauricio Partida (8-0) Vs. Amari Sengsavanh (7-0)
Notes: Another undefeated prospect, and one who has doubled up on gold, bantamweight Amari Sengsavanh has won the Fusion Fight League and RUF 135lb titles in his last two outings.
Flyweight Mark Climaco may be a familiar name to UFC fans. He’s competed on Road to UFC twice, and has two wins, including one under the LFA banner, since his time there. The knock on Climaco is that, win or lose, his last six fights have gone the distance. The lone loss in that stretch came against current UFC flyweight Rei Tsuruya on Road to UFC. That makes him a strong candidate for the Contender Series.
What’s a decision? 10-2 lightweight Samuel Dias doesn’t seem to know the answer. He has a 100% finish rate among his wins, split evenly between submissions and knockouts/TKOs. He’s also been finished in both of his losses. Brazil’s Dias clearly took “don’t leave it in the hands of the judges” to heart.
