The UFC is set to make its return to Sydney, Australia this February.
The octagon will arrive in Sydney on February 9, 2025 for UFC 312, set for the Qudos Bank Arena. That’s a Sunday, local time, though the PPV will air on Saturday night as always for the rest of the world thanks to the time difference.
No match-ups have been announced for UFC 312 thus far. Promotion officials announced the news via social media on Wednesday. A special subsite on UFC.com has also been launched in conjunction with the announcement.

While the card lacks a main event, or any fights at all, the usual Australian (and New Zealand) talent will no doubt be looked at to fill the ranks. Israel Adesanya does not have a fight booked, while Robert Whittaker faces Khamzat Chimaev later this month. While a quick turnaround, depending on outcome, Whittaker could potentially be available.
The UFC last touched down in Sydney in September of 2023 for UFC 293, which saw then middleweight champ Adesanya lose his title to Sean Strickland. The promotion has visited Sydney, Australia six times thus far, starting in 2010. Stops followed in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2017.
The event is the second of three cards the New South Wales government secured in a four-year deal with the promotion starting in 2023. The UFC also set up shop in Perth, Australia earlier this year.
Alexander Volkanovski, another Australian standout, is expected to be on hand for a launch event for UFC 312. Chris Minns, NSW Premier, stated in a press release that “Last years event was a huge success and we expect next years event will match that, showcasing Sydney on the global stage as a top destination for sporting events.”
