Oktagon MMA was in Frankfurt, Germany on Saturday for a massive, and rather special, stadium show care of Oktagon 62.
Over 58,000 fans would be in attendance for the event, which features two title fights and a “King of Germany” battle between Christian Eckerlin and Christian Jungwirth. The card also placed Oktagon, one of the fastest growing promotions in Europe, in exclusive company in the 50K club. In MMA history, only PRIDE, the UFC, KSW, and K-1 (for their Dynamite cards featuring both kickboxing and mixed martial arts) had held events with 50,000 fans or more.
