Flyweight action has been added to December’s UFC 310 card, the final PPV event for the promotion in 2024.
That fight will see Cody Durden (17-6-1) face off with Josh Van (11-2) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV on December 7, 2024.
News of the bout was first reported by Best Fight Picks, with Durden later confirming the booking on social media. In rather comical fashion, no less.

Joshua Van, in a Van, being taken to school. Points for effort, Cody Durden.
Durden was last seen submitting Matt Schnell with a ninja choke at UFC Vegas 97 on September 7. The win snapped a two-fight skid for Durden (and sent Schnell into retirement, having left his gloves in the cage).
Van earned a decision win over Edgar Cháirez in September, helping him bounce back from a loss to Charles Johnson in his previous bout. The Durden fight will mark Van’s fourth of 2024, after he started the year by defeating Felipe Bunes in January.
December’s UFC 310 does not have a main event officially announced. It is, however, the landing spot for the return to Nick Diaz, who takes on Vicente Luque in a welterweight fight. Diaz vs. Luque had been scheduled for Abu Dhabi earlier this year, but had to be postponed when Diaz, a noted marijuana aficionado, encountered visa troubles for some inexplicable reason.
