The Professional Fighters League will hold its 2024 PFL Europe Championship card in Lyon, France on on December 14 – and the “Lazy King” will be headlining the show.
Taking place at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France, the aforementioned “Lazy King” Abdoul Abdouraguimov will face off against Argentinian UFC veteran Laureano Staropoli in a welterweight main event.
The PFL Europe Welterweight, Lightweight, Bantamweight and Women’s Flyweight tournaments will also conclude, with champions crowned in each division.
Abdouraguimov (18-1) was a massive free agent signing for the promotion last year, with the PFL scooping up the former ARES welterweight and middleweight champ out from under the UFC’s nose. He’s 2-0 inside the PFL SmartCage to date, and is coming off a split decision win over Jack Grant.
Staropoli (13-6), with the UFC from 2018 to 2021, also plied his trade in ARES FC, and made his PFL debut earlier this year. He was submitted by Murad Ramazanov at this year’s PFL 3 card.
