Olympic Result: 10th place, 1992, 12th place, 1996

The wielder of the H-Bomb really needs no introduction. A champion in PRIDE and contender in the UFC, it’s easy to forget, however, that “Hendo” also brought an Olympic pedigree with him to the cage.

Now 54, Henderson was an NCAA Division I wrestler who repped the United States at both the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics. While Henderson would place 10th and 12th, respectively, his amateur wrestling career did not stop there. He would never return to the Olympic Games, but Dan Henderson won gold in 2000 at the Pan American Championships in the 85kg category.

Considering he’d already started in MMA career in 1997, that meant Henderson was pulling double-duty by 2000, winning the Rings King of Kings tournament that same year.
