Paris – Hard-hitting lightweights kicked the action off at UFC Paris on Saturday when Bolaji Oki and Chris Duncan met in the octagon.
Oki (9-1) came into UFC Paris looking to start a win streak following a successful debut in February. On that night at the APEX he came away with a tough split-decision victory over Timmy Cuamba. Oki scored a UFC contract after defeating Dylan Salvador at Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023.
Duncan (11-2) looked to bounce back from his first UFC loss in February at UFC Mexico City.
Round 1 a very aggressive Oki came out firing heavy shots at Duncan. Duncan worked leg kicks best as he could, but the pace from Oki forced him to try to turn the fight into a wrestling match. Even with a quick takedown from Oki the fight popped back to the feet and both continued to land big hands on each other.
A quick takedown from Oki got him caught in a very tight submission! Duncan let him go showing that he put Oki to sleep. Even the ref wasn’t sure, but when he checked Oki he waved the fight off.
The gilly gang gets another one!
Official Result: Chris Duncan def. Bolaji Oki via R1 SUB (Guillotine), 3:34
