Paris – UFC featherweight Renato Moicano will attempt to use Benoit Saint Denis’s aggressive style against him when they battle at UFC Paris on Saturday.
“BSD is very aggressive. That seems to be his strong point right,” Moicano told reporters on Wednesday.
“He wins a lot of fights because he’s aggressive, but I think that(s) what makes him sloppy sometimes. Even in his last fight against Dustin Poirier I think he was too aggressive. Even though he was hurt (in) the second round he was keeping calm. I am planning to take advantage of that for sure.”
Moicano (19-5-1) knows that, criticism of Saint Denis’s style aside, there’s a reason this fight is happening in Paris and not anywhere else. The UFC has put some push behind Saint Denis in the last year or so and getting matched up with him in the main event in France is a big deal for Moicano.
“Definitely Benoit Saint Denis is not easy money. That’s why he’s in a position that he is right now. We’re fighting in France, right? UFC knows his value,” he said.
“But I’m here to prove I’m better than him. I’m here to beat him.”
