UFC welterweights Nick Diaz and Vicente Luque will give their fight another shot at UFC 310 on Dec 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

First reported by MMA Mania.

Diaz (26-10) looks to return to action after having to pull out of their first booking at UFC Abu Dhabi in August due to travel issues. The former Strikeforce champion has not won a fight since 2011 when he dominated BJ Penn at UFC 137 on his way to earning a shot at the UFC title.

Diaz was suspended for 5 years in 2015 due to multiple failed drug tests for marijuana. That suspension came after his fight with Anderson Silva was overturned and declared a no contest. Silva himself tested positive for PEDs, but was only suspended for 1 year.

He returned in 2021 in a rematch against Robbie Lawler at UFC 266, but lost.

Luque (22-10-1) comes into this one looking to a victory following a loss to Joaquin Buckley last March in Atlantic City. The longtime welterweight contender holds victories over Rafael dos Anjos, Michael Chiesa, Tyron Woodley, and Niko Price among others.

Only two fights have been announced for UFC 310 so far with more expected to come out in the next few weeks.

UFC 310 as of now looks as follows:

  • Anthony Smith vs. Dominick Reyes
  • Tatiana Suarez vs. Virna Jandiroba
  • Nick Diaz vs. Vicente Luque
