Prediction: If you watch the fight Mazzeo had with Angus Hewett you can see huge concerns. He slowed after a few minutes and was taken down easily. The only reason he won is because he got kneed while grounded and took an easy way out.
Christian isn’t much better. He’s had one fight in four years. In that fight he did beat an undefeated opponent but he didn’t look good prior to finding the finish. It’s frustrating seeing a six-foot-seven fighter that doesn’t know how to use his reach. It’s still tough to get on the inside but he doesn’t do anything to manage distance control.
I see this being an entertaining, but sloppy striking affair. It will lack technique but provide us with some fun moments and a good finish, always welcome on DWCS. This fight could literally have a few momentum shifts but I think eventually Christian will catch Mazzeo in an exchange and get the knockout. I’m only 20% confident.
