On a weekend low on MMA action, the fledgling United Fight League returned with UFL 5, boasting a bantamweight title fight, a team versus team format, and four very familiar names in the top two fights of the evening.
In the main event, a pair of former UFC talents face off, as UFL bantamweight champ Hunter Azure puts his title on the line against Vince Morales. The bout is also the final fight of the five-match Team Phoenix vs. Team Vegas, with Azure and Morales the captains of their respective teams, under coaches Henry Cejudo and Frank Mir.
A $50,000 bonus goes to the fighters on the winning team, not to mention bragging rights. The night’s co-headliner, meanwhile, sees another pair of UFC veterans face off as Sheymon Moraes takes on TJ Brown.
