Maxwell Djantou Nana Has High Hopes For PFL Africa In 2025

Washington D.C. – PFL heavyweight Maxwell Djantou Nana made an explosive debut at PFL Washington on Friday night where he scored a massive TKO victory over Kent Mafileo.

“It meant so much for me because when we start this project it was unbelievable,” Nana told Cageside Press among other reporters at his post-fight scrum.

“We start like a molecule and today big things. It’s like a dream, but we worked so hard to be to this level today. Not just me but all my team, all my family, all my support.”

Nana (6-1) dropped Mafileo with a nasty right hand and finished him on the ground scoring the TKO win.

“With my coach we worked for this fight. We watched every single fight he had before and we know how it was supposed to start the fight. I tried to leg kick, head kick, it wasn’t easy. I think he’s a tough guy because I tried very hard and it wasn’t easy,” he said.

With the win come hopes of being part of the upcoming PFL Africa event scheduled for 2025.

“We are very excited to have PFL in Africa. In Africa we have a lot of talent and every single person just need the opportunity to prove what he can do. I think for PFL to go in Africa is a new day for MMA in Africa,” he said.

“The big deal is that I want every single person in Africa (to) know that if I’m with PFL today and we’re going to have PFL Africa they can see that every single thing is possible. You just need to work hard and to believe.”
