UFC APEX – UFC featherweight Mairon Santos will look to finish his TUF journey against Kaan Ofli at UFC Vegas 96 on Saturday night.
“It seems like everything (went) so fast. I’m enjoying every moment, taking pictures, signing posters,” Santos told reporters on Wednesday.
“Yesterday when I was signing posters I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m here. I’m in the UFC’. Everything since TUF I’m kind of getting used to. Everything has been great.”
Santos (13-1) will look to win The Ultimate Fighter Finale against Ofli on the main card portion of UFC Vegas 96.
“I think he’ll try to grab me all the time like all my opponents because they never want to strike with me. I’m just training what I trained for all my fights. Defend the takedowns and be the best striker,” he said.
This season of TUF was coached by UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and former champion Valentina Shevchenko.
“Some techniques that Diego (Lopes) taught me because he was (on team) Grasso too. They didn’t show that, but he was teaching me a lot of things all the time. We had like a good connection. We’re both from Brazil and Alexa also taught me good things because she’s speaks Portuguese and that helped us to communicate,”
“I learned some things that I used in my first fight. My experience I learned good techniques.”
