A middleweight title fight carrying a bit of heat to it. A flyweight showdown between top contenders including a recent title challenger. UFC 305 arrives this weekend in Perth, Australia, with weigh-ins for the card taking place Friday.
The action in the main event sees 185lb champ Dricus Du Plessis getting his long-awaited showdown with ex-champ Israel Adesanya. “The Last Stylebender” was still holding gold when the match-up was first promised, but shockingly lost to Sean Strickland last year and has not fought since.
Du Plessis, however, did his part by defeating Strickland for the title earlier this year at UFC 297 in Toronto. Putting the fight back on the schedule.
In the co-main event, Steve Erceg takes on Kai Kara-France, a fight that could prove key for the flyweight division.
Weigh-ins for UFC 305 get underway at 6PM ET, 3PM PT on Friday, August 16, 2024. Results can be found below.
Just one fighter missed weight for UFC 305, Jesus Aguilar, who came in 1.5lbs heavy for his flyweight fight.
