Casey O’Neill Looking To Snap Santos’ Win Streak

Perth – UFC flyweight Casey O’Neill takes on Luana Santos at UFC 305 on Saturday night, but she’ll be doing it with a different coaching staff in her corner.

“I just wanted to get a fresh set of eyes I guess. When nothing’s broken you don’t fix anything,” O’Neill told reporters on Wednesday.

“Now that I have had a couple of losses or set backs just look back and evaluate myself and things that I could do differently. Just get a couple of different opinions as well from people that I know have great fighters and that I trust.”

O’Neill (9-2) spent her last few fights training out of Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, NV.

At UFC 305 she gets Santos who comes into the fight on a three-fight UFC win streak which O’Neill is very aware of.

“She’s got a lot of hype right now, 3-0 in the UFC, I think. Exciting for me to be able to take that away on Sunday,” she said.

“I know what that feels like, I’ve been there, and done that. The confidence that she has I’m sure coming in. She feels great so even better for me.”
