Gregory Rodrigues Expected Bloody War Against CLD

Manchester – UFC middleweight Gregory Rodrigues seems to constantly get into these battles that leave him bloodied and it was no different when he took a decision victory over Christian Leroy Duncan at UFC 304 on Saturday night.

“I don’t like it man,” Rodrigues laughed with Cageside Press at his post-fight scrum.

“I’m a guy always I’m going to put everything I have inside that cage. I love to be there, I love (to) fight, I love blood. If the fight need(s) to be like that, that’s the way it’s going to be, but always I’m going to push me forward to get the victory.”

Rodrigues (16-5) went the full 15 minutes with the always tough Duncan. The fight was a drag out bloody war leaving both men covered which was what Rodrigues was expecting.

“Christian is a very tough dude. I already (expected) a fight like that, dog fight you know, he came striking. My mind said man probably is going to be a fight for (the) win in 15 minutes,” he said.

With the year just over halfway done ‘Robocop’ looks to step into the octagon one more time in 2024.

“I want one more fight this year. Now I’m going to enjoy my win with my family. My wife and my baby just waiting for me, but you guys going to see me again this year,” Rodrigues said.
