Arnold Allen Says Chikadze Accused Him Of Sending Spies

Manchester – UFC featherweight Arnold Allen took a decision victory over Giga Chikadze at UFC 304 on Saturday night, but even with a win an accusation from his opponent rubbed him the wrong way.

Chikadze even went as far as posting a tweet accusing Allen of sending spies into his training room.

“You can send as many spies as you want in my training room but tmrw night no one will help you in the octagon! #UFC304 @UFC”

Allen (20-3) cleared up what Chikadze meant by that as well as detailing what the two spoke about at the ceremonial weigh-ins.

“He started thinking I had spies in the camp and he said something about us being in England and everyone being English, and I was like yeah kind of is what happens. The MMA circuit is a very small circuit, and we’re a very tight-knit community. We know everyone,” Allen told Cageside Press at his post-fight scrum.

“I didn’t have any spies. Had a couple of teammates that were working out with their training partner that was fighting on the card. They just told me that he asked them to leave and they did. I never asked anyone to go and watch or do anything. I’ve never done that. I think he was accusing a few people.”

With two fights done in 2024 Allen looks to squeeze in one more bout before the end of the year. A possible broken hand may push that to the very end of the year.

“I (fought) January, July, stretch it out to December could be nice,” he said.

“Just to give this maximum recovery time. It feels very familiar with what I’ve done before and that took a few months. We’ll see.”
