One of the more anticipated UFC cards in 2024 takes place at The Sphere on Sept 14 with bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley taking on Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306: Noche UFC.

UFC CEO Dana White made the announcement on social media.

Co-headlining UFC 306 will be the trilogy fight between flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and former champ Valentina Shevchenko. The two just finished up coaching on The Ultimate Fighter and will look to settle the rivalry at The Sphere.

Rising star Diego Lopes and veteran Brian Ortega will take a second shot at getting into the octagon at Noche UFC. The two fan-favorite featherweights were set to co-headline UFC 303, but Ortega fell ill following weigh-ins and withdrew from the bout. Dan Ige stepped in on just three hours notice and fought Lopes on the main card which Lopes took by decision.

Also on the card will be lightweight Daniel Zellhuber who will ride his three-fight win streak into UFC 306 against Esteban Ribovics. Kicking off the main card will be flyweights Ronaldo Rodriguez and Ode Osbourne.

The entire card, as of now, is as follows:

  • Sean O’Malley (C) vs. Merab Dvalishvili – For the UFC bantamweight title
  • Alexa Grasso (C) vs. Valentina Shevchenko – For the UFC women’s flyweight title
  • Brian Ortega vs. Diego Lopes
  • Daniel Zellhuber vs. Esteban Ribovics
  • Ronaldo Rodriguez vs. Ode Osbourne
  • Irene Aldana vs. Norma Dumont
  • Yazmin Jauregui vs. Ketlen Souza
  • Edgar Chairez vs. Kevin Borjas
  • Manuel Torres vs. Ignacio Bahamondes
  • Raul Rosas Jr vs. Aoriqileng

With 10 bouts on the card it’s unlikely that Ige’s request for a fight at The Sphere will be granted.
