Manchester – UFC featherweight Arnold Allen is expecting a banger of a fight with Giga Chikadze at UFC 304 on Saturday night.
“It’s a good fight. We’re both two strikers. I like the matchup, it’s a fun,” Allen told reporters including Cageside Press on Wednesday.
“I think it’s a fan-friendly fight. I’m just looking for a fun fight to be honest.”
Allen (19-3) is on a two-fight losing streak and isn’t looking to make it three-in-a-row at UFC 304. Although the losses are against two of the best at 145, Movsar Evloev and BMF title holder Max Holloway, it’s still not a good look for someone who was on a steep rise not long ago.
“It’s another fight. You don’t think about it. You brush it off. We come back. I’m coming in with a winner’s mentality and it doesn’t change nothing. The pressure is on, but f*ck it’s always on. Somebody’s trying to cave your head in,” he said.
The fight with Evloev, given it’s a different style type of fight than what Allen has at UFC 304, was still riddled with lessons to bring into this fight.
“I would have beat him if they changed them f*cking rules earlier,” joked Allen with Cageside Press referring to the recent change in rules on 12-6 elbows which is still to be implemented.
“And the judges. Arseh*les. Not if they’re the same guys judging this fight. You’re good guys.”
