Virna Jandiroba was one of four Performance of the Night bonus winners at Saturday’s UFC Vegas 94.
The Fight Night card saw the promotion back at the UFC Apex, with a line-up that didn’t exactly inspire many UFC fans to give up their Saturday night. As thin as the card was on paper, however, the main card delivered, with five of six fights ending inside the distance.
All four bonus-winning fighters were found on that main card, including headliner Jandiroba. She wound up submitting fellow Brazilian Amanda Lemos, a former title challenger, via arm-bar in the second round.
The win makes it four straight for the former Invicta FC champ, who has finally put together the sort of run expected of her when she first joined the UFC in 2019.
Also among the bonus-winners at UFC Vegas 94, Bruno Silva picked up 50K for putting away a former training partner in Cody Durden, in the night’s lone men’s flyweight fight. “Mean Machine” Steve Garcia, meanwhile, continued to live up to his nickname. The featherweight earned his fourth straight win, and fourth straight finish, by TKO’ing South Korea’s Seung-Woo Choi in the co-main event.
The final bonus went to Hyder Amil, who also finished a South Korean talent in Jeong-Yeong Lee, via TKO as well.
All four bonus-winning fighters will receive $50,000 for their efforts, in addition to outfitting pay, purse, and other earnings.
