UFC Denver unfolds at the Ball Arena in Denver, CO this Saturday, minus the main event originally advertised, but with a suitable facsimile.

Rose Namajunas was to have taken on Maycee Barber in that main event, but with Barber out, it was Tracy Cortez, unbeaten in the UFC, set to take her place. For Cortez, undefeated since her first professional fight, the allure was clear: beat a former champ, even one a weight class down at 115lbs, and inch that much closer to a title shot. For Namajunas, the upside was a little less clear, other than the possibility of moving to 2-1 as a flyweight.

Of course, the name value of “Thug” Rose meant that a title shot was ever a possibility.

Weigh-ins for UFC Denver take place Friday morning, results can be found below.

While all fighters made weight on Friday, the story of the morning was Tracy Cortez cutting off her locks to make 126lbs on the nose. Then holding that hair up high as evidence of how far she’s willing to go to get things done.
