Saturday, July 6, 2024 bore witness to the most unlikely of marquee boxing match-ups, as Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz, two former UFC stars, revisited their BMF title fight, this time inside the ring.
The Fanmio-backed event, also airing via UFC Fight Pass and DAZN, had a relatively stacked undercard as such things go, with Shane Mosley Jr. facing Daniel Jacobs, and former UFC champ Anthony Pettis taking on Chris Avila, a longtime associate of Diaz.
The card had been bumped back to the July 6 date, likely to avoid going head-to-head with bigger combat sports offerings; on its new date, it essentially had the night to itself.
