Less than two weeks away, the UFC Denver card continues to grow, with Joshua Van vs. Charles Johnson the latest addition to the Fight Night event.
The flyweight fight was officially announced by UFC officials on Thursday. The card is set to take place on July 13, 2024 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
Charles Johnson (15-6), a.k.a. “InnerG,” is a former LFA flyweight champ who made his way to the UFC in 2022 off a win over the highly-touted Carlos Mota. He wound up drawing current title hopeful Muhammad Mokaev in his debut, losing a decision and posting a 4-3 record since.
Johnson currently sits on a two-fight win streak, with victories over Azat Maksum and Jake Hadley.
Joshua Van (10-1) is a perfect 3-0 through his first three UFC fights. Most recently, he secured a TKO victory over Felipe Bunes. Since that January fight, however, Van has been on a bit of a roller coaster, with four fights falling through due to injuries, and in one case, Tatsuro Taira getting shifted to a main event opposite Alex Perez.
