Islam Makhachev will look to continue his domination of the UFC’s lightweight division at UFC 302, while Dustin Poirier will look to cash in on one last shot at gold.

The lightweight main event has all the storylines you’d want in a marquee fight: in Newark, Poirier will see his third shot at the undisputed title, after winning interim gold in years gone by then coming up short against Khabib Nurmagomedov and later Charles Oliveira (not to mention losing a BMF title fight against Justin Gaethje last year). As for Makhachev, he took the torch from Nurmagomedov and ran with it, so while it’s not direct revenge, Poirier does have a chance to somewhat avenge the loss to the champ’s teammate/coach.

As a co-main event in Newark, fans have an intriguing stylistic match-up in Sean Strickland vs. Paulo Costa, which has been booked for five rounds. With the potential of producing a middleweight title challenger, the question will become whether Strickland can out-box the Brazilian while avoiding Costa’s power.

Weigh-ins for UFC 302, the first of two Pay-Per-Views for the UFC in the month of June, take place Friday morning at 9AM ET, 6AM PT. Results can be found below.

Only one fighter missed weight for UFC 302, with flyweight Andre Lima coming in at 130lbs for his flyweight fight with Mitch Raposo. He’ll pay 30% of his purse to his opponent, but the fight moves forward. Joselyne Edwards came in at 137lbs on her first attempt but immediately stripped down behind the barrier and made weight at 136.

Paulo Costa was last to weight in on Friday, just past 10:15AM and hit the scales to chants of “secret juice.” He clocked in at 185lbs for his co-main event with Sean Strickland.
