TTP Ep. 431 with Randy Brown, Bassil Hafez, and UFC 302

Randy Brown Interview (2:10)

Kicking off this edition of TTP is our interview with UFC welterweight, Randy Brown. Brown discusses the lack of respect that has come on his name despite having an insane run of wins in the UFC’s 170lbs division. A winner of six of his last seven, he expected a slightly bigger opponent than Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at UFC 302. However, he intends to make the most of his spot on this big card and hopes to parlay that into some bigger fights in the future.

Fights, Dogs, and Parlays: UFC 302 (17:37)

The UFC is back and we’re on PPV for UFC 302. We head to Newark, New Jersey, for a headliner between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier for the UFC’s lightweight title. There’s tons of talk about Poirier jumping guillotine and we’re discussing if that’s all just a joke or not. Plus, we break down some of the other great fights on this main card including a middleweight showdown between Paulo Costa and Sean Strickland. On top of that, we’re also giving you our favorite underdog on this card and putting together a parlay to make your wallet extra fat this weekend. Come check it out! Bassil Hafez Interview (24:49)

Closing out this edition of TTP is our interview with UFC welterweight, Bassil Hafez. He chats with us about the difficulty of having a close performance with a top five opponent in his debut, but then needing to wait nearly a year for the encore. Now with that fight booked, he looks forward to his fight with Mickey Gall at UFC 302. The two have a shared past that includes a Grappler’s Quest match. All of that, and plus he breaks down where the nickname “The Habibi” comes from and why it means so much to him.
