Still nearly three months away, UFC 305 booked its first bout on Wednesday. The event will mark the promotion’s third event in Perth, Australia and first since UFC 284 last year.
Lightweights Tom Nolan and Alex Reyes will meet on the preliminary card of UFC 305 on August 17, 2024.
News of the fight booking was first reported by From The Stands (@FTS_MMA via X) on Wednesday. Nolan later confirmed the booking on his Instagram Story.
Tom Nolan (7-1) is a product of the 2023 season of the Contender Series. Nolan dropped his debut back in January as he was finished in just over 60 seconds by Nikolas Motta. Luckily, Nolan was able to capture his first win with the UFC, in his last time out, as he stopped Victor Martinez last Saturday in an exciting feature preliminary bout.
Alex Reyes (13-4) is looking for just his third UFC bout, and his first win, since signing with the promotion in 2017. Reyes has been plagued with injuries in the nearly seven years since debuting with the promotion opposite of Mike Perry. In that time Alex has had a total of three canceled fights. Alex’s last time out was nearly a year ago when he had his six-year return spoiled thanks to a first round KO from Charlie Campbell. Nevertheless, Reyes will be looking for his first win in the UFC.
This is the first confirmed bout for the UFC 305 card in Perth, Western Australia.
