UFC APEX – UFC welterweight Ramiz Brahimaj returns from a long layoff due to injury to face Themba Gorimbo at UFC Vegas 92 on Saturday night.
“I feel good man. I think good, amazing, all these words are not enough to describe how I’m feeling,” Brahimaj told reporters in Wednesday.
“It’s happy.”
Brahimaj (10-4) has been out since February 2022 due to a couple of cancelled bouts and injury issues, but he’s back and ready to go.
“Just recovering from a nasty injury. Had some back to back injuries. Had to tend to them, and yeah I’m back. Been a while out, but I’ve been cornering and the second that I got cleared to train I started training again,” he said.
“Coming back to what I love you know, my calling, so I’m excited. I feel reborn.”
At UFC Vegas 92 he draws Gorimbo who is as tough as they come at 170 pounds.
“I think it’s a great matchup. I think me and him we matchup very well against each other. He’s tough, he’s got a lot of good stuff that he does, just excited man. I can’t wait,” said Brahimaj.
“I got a lot of surprises so I’m excited.”
