Paris – Bellator heavyweight Slim Trabelsi is back fighting in France this time against Louie Sutherland at Bellator Paris on Friday night.
Trabelsi (6-0) has been through a rollercoaster for the past few years following a messy split with his former coach who was also his promoter.
“Now I feel more comfortable to be here in France and to fight here,” Trabelsi told reporters including Cageside Press during a media call on Tuesday.
“I’m ready for this time.”
The heavyweight was part of one of the last Bellator cards, Bellator 300, before the Professional Fighters League bought the promotion.
“It’s (made) my career in the top. It (made) me feel much better to be in Bellator in such big organization in the world. This has (given) a lot (to) my career. To fight in (Bellator) 300 this has given me a lot of motivation to get fighting with some (guys) from the top 10,” said Trabelsi.
Following the fight at Bellator Paris, Trabelsi will look to stay busy and get fights with the best the division has to offer.
“My plan is simple. I keep training and I keep focused to go to the top. I wait only to get fights with best guys, and only focus (on) my goal to get (to) the top of the world,” he said.
