UFC flyweights Tracy Cortez and Miranda Maverick will clash at the UFC APEX on July 20 in Las Vegas.
Maverick announced it on Instagram.
Cortez (11-1) came off a long layoff to earn a decision victory over Jasmine Jasudavicius last September at Noche UFC. She’s currently undefeated in the UFC riding a 11-fight win streak with 5 being in the UFC. Currently ranked #11 a victory could set her up for a fight with a top 5 opponent.
Maverick (13-5) is coming off a decision victory over Andrea Lee at UFC 298 in February. That was her second straight victory having finished Priscila Cachoeira at UFC 291 in July 2023. She’s 4-1 in her last five and is ranked #15.
Cortez and Maverick have seemingly been on a collision course with both being considered up-and-comers with the division chasing Alexa Grasso. Grasso presumably defends her title in the trilogy fight with Valentina Shevchenko following their coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter.
Other fights announced for this card include:

No word as to which fight will be the main event as of this posting.
