Looks like Roman Dolidze will not only be getting a new opponent but a new fight date as well. Dolidze was originally scheduled to fight on June 1st against Alexander Hernandez on UFC 302. Unfortunately, Hernandez tore a ligament in his hand and was forced to withdraw from the bout.
Instead, Michel Pereira will step in to face Dolidze. The fight has been moved back one week to June 8th and is now the co main event for UFC Louisville. News of the bout was first reported by Marcel Dorff (@BigMarcel24) on multiple social media platforms.
Michel Pereira (31-11) just fought, less than a week ago, for UFC 301 when he submitted Ihor Potieria in under a minute. Pereira was actually supposed to be fighting Makhmud Muradov for that bout, before Muradov had to withdraw from their bout due to infection.
Michel has been extremely busy the past few months and is already looking for his third win this calendar year.
Roman Dolidze (12-3) is 6-3 with the UFC. Dolidze lost his last two fights, both via decision, to Marvin Vettori and Nassourdine Imavov. This will be Roman’s second outing of the calendar year after his main event with Imavov in February.
Dolidze and Pereira will join an already full card to make UFC Louisville a whopping 15 fights.
