Featherweight action has been lined up for UFC 304 in Manchester this July, as Daniel Pineda will face Nathaniel Wood at the Pay-Per-View event.
Iridium Sports Agency, who represent Pineda, announced the pairing on social media on Monday. Wood had previously let news of the pairing slip.
Pineda (28-15, 3NC) is a former PFL semifinalist, though he was scratched from the league’s 2019 tournament after failing a drug test. Since arriving in the UFC the following year, he’s posted a 2-2, 1NC record. Pineda will head to Manchester looking to bounce back from a loss to Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres, albeit one that earned Fight of the Night at UFC on ESPN 46 in June 2023.
England’s Wood has been a regular face on the UFC’s visits to London, but this will be his first time appearing in Manchester for the promotion. The former Cage Warriors champ saw a three-fight win streak snapped in his last outing after falling to Muhammad Naimov via decision.
UFC 304 takes place at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England on July 27, 2024. While no fights have been officially announced, aside from Nathaniel Wood vs. Daniel Pineda, appearances by welterweight champ Leon “Rocky” Edwards and interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall have been heavily rumored.
