Two weeks removed from the historic UFC 300, and after a well-deserved week off and victory lap, MMA action returned to the Apex in Las Vegas with UFC Vegas 91 on April 27, 2024.
The Fight Night event was headlined by flyweights Matheus Nicolau and Alex Perez, though Nicolau had originally been booked into a highly-anticipated rematch with Manel Kape. With the ex-RIZIN champ withdrawing from the card, however, it was Perez stepping in on short notice.
In the co-main event, Bogdan Guskov got a step up in competition against Ryan Spann, while earlier in the night, David Onama, a Glory MMA and Fitness fighter who jumped into the promotion on short notice, faced off with Jonathan Pearce, a.k.a. “JSP.”
