The UFC is headed back to Louisville, Kentucky on June 8, and on Thursday, a number of match-ups were officially announced for UFC Louisville.
Among the fights unveiled for the Fight Night at the KFC Yum! Center, light heavyweight Dominick Reyes will face off with Dustin Jacoby, in a fight that could see both men’s spot on the roster on the line.
Reyes (12-4) has been on a considerable slump, winless in his last four starting with a shot at then-champ Jon Jones in February 2020. While some may have scored that bout for Reyes, his three subsequent bouts saw him finished, all via KO/TKO. Those losses came to Jan Blachowicz, Jiri Prochazka, and Ryan Spann.
Jacoby (19-8-1) became a fan favorite after running up a seven-fight unbeaten streak in the octagon to start his second UFC stint in 2020. However, he has dropped three of his last four bouts, and is coming off a loss to Alonzo Menifield at UFC 296 back in December.
Reyes remains ranked #14 in the 205lb weight class. Jacoby is not currently ranked.
