Bobby Green Had No Problem With Jim Miller, Now It’s Personal

Las Vegas – UFC lightweight Bobby Green had no issues with his opponent leading up to UFC 300, but some things that Jim Miller has said recently set him off a bit and added fire to their fight on Saturday night.

“When fighters talk about me I’m kind of like Michael Jordan,” Green told Cageside Press among other reporters on Wednesday.

“If I find that little edge where like oh I can get psycho in myself and I’m like oh, you know? Last time somebody said that was Nasrat (Haqparast). He was like oh Bobby Green won’t stay on me. So I broke the record on how many strikes I can hit him with.”

Green (31-15-1) is no stranger to using his opponents’ talk to his advantage in fueling his energy for their fights.

“Then (Grant) Dawson said the thing too like, I’m here for it just a check, so I knocked him out. I put these certain things in my head and I go crazy behind it. Now I’m mad at you and I got something to prove,” Green said.

“Normally when I fight guys I just want to prove I’m better than you. I don’t want to hurt you because I want you to have a prosperous career, but I just want to show that I’m the better fighter of the two.”

So what did Miller say that set Green off a bit?

“Jim was saying like, when our fight came out, he didn’t want to do this because all the different obstacles of all the bullsh*t, but I’m like bro! I took that fight on two weeks notice for you! I jumped in there and I f*cking went to a hospital for a week,” he said.

The two were paired up three times previously with the all three falling through because of Green. The first two were due to medical issues and the last due to a failed drug test. Now the fight is back on for UFC 300.

“Now I put that sh*t in my head like oh I’m going to show you something now. Now this is what you’re f*cking waiting for bro,” said Green.

“And I promise you it’s going to be vicious.”
