Chepe Mariscal Wants A Quick KO, Or FOTN Against Charriere

UFC APEX – UFC featherweight Chepe Mariscal is excited about his bout with Morgan Charriere at UFC Vegas 90 on Saturday night because he knows he’ll have a tough fight ahead of him.

“He’s good. He’s got a lot of experience. I obviously said yes because I like saying yes to the guys that are tough,” Mariscal told reporters on Wednesday.

“He’s fought in some promotions I fought, but I just feel like he hasn’t fought anybody like me.”

Mariscal (15-6) has been studying his opponent, and while he respects him, he sees holes in his game that he’ll try to expose.

“Calm, trying to be sharp, I think he’s going to try to counter fight. He’s going to wait a little bit. I see that he’s a pocket puncher. He likes to put his hands down then throw punches, but I feel like I’m just going to expose his style like everybody else,” he said.

End game is a victory, but Mariscal wants to put on a show.

“I’m trying to get in there, get out, it’ll be cool like if he survives or I survive or however it goes. It’ll be probably fight of the night for sure. Another fight of the year,” he said.

“I always try to perform, try to do the best, but try to get them out in the first.”
