Legacy Fighting Alliance was in action on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024 with LFA 177 taking place at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, New York.
Heading the show, an interim welterweight title fight featured 2023 LFA Fans’ Choice Awards Knockout of the Year winner Devin Smyth taking on a two-time Russian national wrestling champion in Shamidkhan Magomedov.
Smyth had lost to Brok Weaver on the Contender Series in 2019 and dropped his subsequent bout, but had bounced back after returning from a lengthy layoff last year, defeating Jonathan Piersma.
The evening’s co-main event also had gold on the line, as Canada’s Shannon Clark took on Brazil’s Thaiany Lopes for the LFA women’s flyweight championship.
